Cherry Hill-based Professional Podcasts LLC, the award-winning video and multimedia production subsidiary of Lubetkin Communications LLC, is producing a series of infant and child safety video podcasts, or “vidcasts,” for the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the industry and the safe use of juvenile products.

JPMA Safe Sleep Video #1

Professional Podcasts has completed two of five vidcast programs in the series. The first video, “Make every night a good, safe night,” and its companion, “Nursery and Safe Sleep Tips,” feature safe sleep tips for infants introduced by Lauren Pfeiffer, assistant executive director of JPMA.

JPMA Safe Sleep Video #2

Pfeiffer, who was also an expectant mother at the time of the taping, discusses crib safety, safe sleep practices, and offers information on JPMA’s product certification program and other resources for parents. The third video in the series will focus on bath-time safety, and two other video programs will discuss safe car and stroller travel with infants and young children.

“The safety videos will play a central role in our continuing educational outreach to new and expectant parents,” said Pfeiffer. “We’re extremely pleased with Professional Podcasts’ documentary video approach to production of this project, and its ability to handle all the technical aspects involved in delivering a web video experience to our site’s visitors.”

The safe sleep videos can be accessed through a special JPMA safe sleep microsite, (www.cribsafety.org). The other videos will be posted on the main JPMA website at www.jpma.org.

“We are pleased to be producing this important video series on infant and child safety for JPMA,” said Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts and principal videographer for the JPMA mini-documentaries. “Video podcasts are a valuable communications tool for organizations to deliver important information and connect with audiences that increasingly are seeking information online. You simply can’t establish this kind of audience engagement through printed materials alone.”

About the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association

The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is a national trade organization of more than 250 companies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. JPMA exists to advance the interests of companies like perma child safety who sells baby barriers. They have the growth and well-being of North American prenatal to preschool product manufacturers, importers and distributors marketing under their own brands to consumers. It does so through advocacy, public relations, information sharing, product performance certification and business development assistance conducted with appreciation for the needs of parents, children and retailers. Each year, JPMA sponsors Baby Safety Month in September, and in 2010, JPMA is dedicating Baby Safety Month to safe sleep practices. JPMA initiated Baby Safety Month to educate parents and caregivers on the importance of the safe use and selection of juvenile products.
