Cherry Hill-based Professional Podcasts LLC, has produced a video webcast for the Wayne Presbyterian Church in Wayne, Pa., The purpose of the video webcast is to introduce the Church’s new Senior Pastor, the Reverend Casey Thompson, to the congregation. Professional Podcasts is an award-winning video and multimedia production subsidiary of Lubetkin Communications LLC
“Video podcasts are an increasingly valuable communications tool for organizations that want to explain their missions and tell interesting stories about how people in their organizations value their relationship with the organization,” said Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of Lubetkin Communications, LLC. “ For congregation members who may not have had the opportunity to meet the Rev. Thompson yet, a video interview like this can help the church connect with audiences that increasingly are seeking information online. You simply can’t establish this kind of audience engagement through printed materials alone.”
“This is a first for us,” said Linda Nirmaier, head of the Church’s communications committee. “While a minister has a lectern each week to share his theological perspectives, it is harder for a congregation to get to know more about the individual only through his sermons. We knew a webcast would enable the people of the church to get to know him on a more personal level.”
Reverend Thompson discusses his calling as a minister and the importance of what he calls “vibrant worship,” in the 30 minute video webcast interview conducted by Scott Palmer, the public relations director for the Philadelphia Phillies. Palmer, a former sportscaster with Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI-TV, is a member of the church.
The interview also can be seen on the church’s website, at http://www.waynepres.org.
