Nationwide, states and their localities are facing mounting fiscal challenges.  In 2011, former New York Lieutenant Governor, Richard Ravitch and former Federal Reserve Board Chair, Paul A. Volcker assembled the State Budget Crisis Task Force to examine threats to U.S. states' near and long term fiscal sustainability. On  July 17, 2012 they released their overall findings, which were based on in-depth analysis of six selected states – California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Virginia.
 

On December 13th the Task Force released its findings on the specific threats confronting the state of New Jersey.  Purchase a DVD of this 67-minute program and join what we hope will be the beginning of an important dialogue.
