High-Level Training for the Novice Practitioner
For the first time in the organization’s history, The Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is now selling digital video downloads of its acclaimed “Three Professional Saturdays” program.
The program is a prep course for the Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) sponsored by PRSA and 11 other partner communications organizations nationally and internationally.
The new video packages give all public relations practitioners access to the intensive Three Saturdays training program that was previously available only to practitioners attending the course in person.
The videos, produced by the Professional Podcasts subsidiary of Lubetkin Global Communications for PRSA Philadelphia, are designed for individuals who:
- Plan to take the APR readiness review and exam to become accredited by one of the world’s largest and most influential professional societies
- Want to have a significant resource on-hand in your organization’s library to educate new employees or refresh rising leaders?
- Need a refresher on public relations law, media relations, crisis management, case studies or planning?
The rigorous lectures are led by two expert practitioners and esteemed educators, both of whom are distinguished members of PRSA’s prestigious College of Fellows.
• Anthony Fulginiti, APR, Fellow PRSA, Professor at Rowan University
• John Moscatelli, APR, Fellow PRSA, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Anne Klein Communications Group, LLC
What normally takes three full, consecutive Saturdays in a classroom, professionals can now learn at their own pace, on their own time, from the comfort of their homes or offices.
Day One. Anthony Fulginiti discusses public relations in society, and some pertinent communication theories and models that practitioners apply daily but may not even know they use. Professor Fulginiti also reviews sample questions from the APR test and dissects a case study on an animal testing laboratory.
Day Two. Professor Fulginiti explores critical topics for public relations practitioners — public relations planning, law, ethics and media relations. It’s a power-packed day of relevant information and “knowledge areas” for any public relations practitioner, whether new to the practice or a more seasoned veteran.
Day Three. John Moscatelli details crisis management from his years of experience with the Air Force and numerous public relations agencies. Crisis management represents an important component of our practice as well as the APR exam.
