David and co-author Brian Halligan are donating a portion of the royalties from the book to the Grateful Dead Archive at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

This is David’s second visit to the Middle Chamber Books Podcast. He first appeared as a guest on Episode 3, when he had just released The new rules of PR: How to create a press release strategy for reaching buyers directly, a free e-book download from his website that had already attracted more than 50,000 readers.

We conclude the program with the Grateful Dead’s performance of “Truckin’,” recorded live September 3, 1977 at Englishtown Raceway in Englishtown, NJ. Steve reviewed this concert for the Asbury Park Press in what is believed to be the first rock concert ever covered with a portable computer terminal.
