The Medical Society of New Jersey is producing news video reports with The Lubetkin Media Companies about the society’s recently concluded Advocacy Conference. The May 2 event was the first of its kind organized by the society to help its physician members gain the knowledge and expertise required to advocate effectively for the “House of Medicine.”

In addition to video of the keynote remarks by NJ Gov. Chris Christie, we are producing short news “wrappers,” which wrap up a key topic at the event using video footage of the conference activities and interviews with principal participants.

The first report focuses on reaction of the society’s leaders to Gov. Christie’s remarks.

The second video report discusses reaction to the conference and the importance of advocacy for physicians.

In the third news wrapper, Dr. Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, chief medical officer of Summit Medical Group, discusses Summit’s innovative approaches to cost control, team medical care, and relationships with insurers.

In the fourth report, Dr. John Poole, a member of the MSNJ’s board of trustees, immediate past MSNJ president Dr. Ruth Schulze, and Dr. Robert Brenner, chief medical officer of Summit Medical Group, discuss the focus on medical quality standards by public policymakers.
