TODD’S BIO: Todd Cohen is a high-energy, high-performance sales leader. Since he began his career in 1984, Todd and his sales teams have delivered more than $200 million in revenue for leading equipment, education, e-learning and information companies, including Xerox, Gartner Group, Pensare, Thomson, and LexisNexis. Todd’s successful career has progressed from proven individual contributor and repeat President’s Club winner, to innovative sales manager, to accomplished sales executive. Most recently he was Vice President of Sales for LexisNexis.
Todd is especially skilled at building high performance sales teams that produce outstanding results. He has made significant contributions in environments ranging from small, rapidly growing start-up companies to well-established, large corporations. His exceptional ability to train, develop, and coach sales professionals has been recognized and commended by both management and associates.
For Todd, the success of a sales team depends on having the right people, thinking and working collaboratively, and consistently doing the right activities. Todd views Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems as an essential catalyst for driving and measuring the right activities through consistent sales metrics, and he has successfully implemented four CRM systems. Yet technology and measurement is nothing without hiring the right people and cultivating the skills, competencies and work habits they need to be successful.
Todd is a dynamic and engaging public speaker who has spoken extensively on consultative selling, cold calling, and using increased sales activities to drive increased sales. At LexisNexis, he was a sought-after educator for Miller Heiman Strategic Selling®. Todd believes that “everyone is in sales,” and he particularly enjoys working with “non-traditional sales people” to help them understand how to sell successfully.
Todd is passionate about the value of early and continuous training, and he is trained in the most successful and classic sales methodologies, including SPIN® Selling, Strategic and Consultative Selling, and Xerox Corporation’s Leadership through Quality. Todd holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Temple University. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and is active in the American Cancer Society as well as several other charitable organizations.
