PHILADELPHIA–LMC’s managing partner, Steve Lubetkin, has been named to the board of directors of the Philadelphia Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for a second year.
The professional communicators group announced its 2015 board of directors today. IABC Philadelphia is a membership-based trade association for business communicators, who live or work in southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. Lubetkin, who redesigned and manages the IABC Chapter’s website, will continue to serve as vice president, technology and digital infrastructure. LMC also produces videos and podcasts for IABC Philadelphia.
Leading the 2015 IABC board is Christine Kuhinka, ABC, serving for her first term as president of IABC Philadelphia and continuing for a second term in the role of vice president, marketing. Ms. Kuhinka is a corporate/marketing communications and public affairs leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning the spectrum of integrated internal and external communications, global team leadership and strategic counsel. Her experience was acquired primarily at Fortune 100 companies, including Pfizer (formerly Wyeth) and Dow Chemical. Her expertise includes: strategic planning, crisis/issues management, change management, marketing communications and corporate social responsibility. In 2010, she received the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) credential, the global standard of professional achievement for business communicators.

The following IABC Philadelphia board members will support Ms. Kuhinka in advancing the chapter’s mission:
Mark Basla, vice president, finance and business development, IABC Philadelphia, is vice president of marketing and business development for the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC). With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Basla integrates marketing, communications and business development to support DVIRC’s mission of assisting U.S. manufacturers compete in the global economy. Previously, Mr. Basla was responsible for marketing and corporate communications for InfraSource, an Exelon Co., and Axiohm (formerly NCR). He is a past president of IABC Philadelphia.
Regina Biunno, vice president, outreach and partnerships, IABC Philadelphia, is a long-time IABC member. Ms. Biunno joined the board in 2013, supporting outreach efforts as well as university relations. With more than 20 years of corporate communications experience, she has led employee and executive communications and change management initiatives for organizations including Siemens Healthcare USA, the American Diabetes Association and QVC. She currently supports change management and communications for Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
Steve Lubetkin, vice president, technology and digital infrastructure, IABC Philadelphia, is the managing partner of the Lubetkin Media Companies LLC, an award-winning Internet broadcasting, digital image and video and news publishing organization, which produces documentary and news-style audio and video programming, digital photography and high-performance websites for clients.
Elena Perri, member, program committee, IABC Philadelphia, is director of marketing and communications at Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill. She has served on the IABC Philadelphia board for more than 20 years and is a past president.
Taryn Robinson, member, program committee, IABC Philadelphia, is a senior communications specialist at AmeriHealth Caritas. She has been on the IABC Philadelphia board for five years serving in various roles including student relations chair, volunteer chair and programming committee member.
Bill Seiberlich, vice president, membership and careers, IABC Philadelphia, is communications manager for Saint-Gobain Corporation, a division of Saint-Gobain, the world’s largest building materials company. In this capacity, Mr. Seiberlich is responsible for media relations; crisis communications; meeting planning; intranet content creation; and writing, editing and publishing newsletters. Mr. Seiberlich also serves as secretary of the Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation.
Janet Skidmore, vice president, program committee, IABC Philadelphia, is an award-winning former journalist and communications consultant. Ms. Skidmore has more than 30 years of corporate and non-profit public relations experience, primarily in biopharmaceuticals and healthcare. Since 2007 she has operated Janet Skidmore Communications LLC, a public relations consultancy in suburban Philadelphia. Ms. Skidmore has taught communications at both Rutgers University and La Salle University, where she also serves on the graduate communication program’s Graduate Advisory Board.
Jill Weiskopf, vice president, programming and promotion, IABC Philadelphia, is a graduate of La Salle University with 10 years of experience. Ms. Weiskopf is a natural communicator who enjoys writing and speaking and readily promotes those skills across new digital media. Her current role as marketing coordinator for an architecture, engineering and construction firm involves external communications for B2B marketing as well as internal communications for employee engagement.
Earl Whipple, immediate past president, IABC Philadelphia, has more than 20 years of results-driven communications and public affairs leadership. He has led communications, increased public engagement and enhanced reputations for Fortune 100 companies, products, non-profits and people. Mr. Whipple leads communications, branding, public engagement, advertising and business intelligence for a US$3B philanthropic foundation and has held leading communications and public affairs roles at AstraZeneca and Merck. Formerly Mr. Whipple served as a management consultant specializing in communications for IBM and as chief of staff, legislative director, and spokesperson in the United States House of Representatives.
