CHERRY HILL, NJ—AUGUST 1, 2017—The Lubetkin Media Companies LLC, the award-winning audio and video programming firm based in Cherry Hill, NJ, has reached a significant milestone with more than one million downloads of its audio podcast program content since April 2005, when it began producing high quality audio and video programs for distribution over the Internet as “podcasts.”
The one-million-download milestone, which represents total downloads of all content produced for clients, was surpassed early in the week of July 31, 2017, according to Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of The Lubetkin Media Companies.
“We reached the 200,000-download mark in November 2008, and added another 150,000 downloads by 2010,” Lubetkin said. “This million-download mark is a clear indication that our broadcast-quality approach to audio podcast production has been the right way to attract audiences to our clients’ presentations. High quality podcast content has an important place in the overall communications toolkit for companies, trade associations, professional groups and business services providers. Surveys show that increasing numbers of Internet users are downloading audio and video content, and smart companies know they need to be actively producing this kind of content.”
Podcasts are digital audio or video recordings distributed using Internet technology, either through websites or a technology called an RSS feed. Visitors to an organization’s website can download podcast programs for review on their desktop computers, or synchronize them with a portable digital media device. Listeners can “subscribe” (at no cost) to podcast “feeds,” and receive new programs in a podcast series automatically. The Lubetkin Media Companes also helps its clients make their programs available from the online Apple iTunes Music Store.
