The Jewish Community Voice of Southern New Jersey is celebrating its 75th Anniversary June 9, 2016 and the celebration includes a tribute video about the history of the newspaper produced by The Lubetkin Media Companies.
Managing Partner Steve Lubetkin, who is retiring after six years as a vice president on the Voice management board, produced the video by interviewing the three living editors of the newspaper, Fredda Sacharow, Harriet Kessler, and the current editor David Portnoe. Also interviewed in the video is Stuart Alperin, executive director of the Raymond and Gertrude R. Saltzman Foundation, who was executive director of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey for nearly two decades of the Voice’s publishing history. The paper is owned by the Jewish Federation.
The interviews were conducted at several locations on the Federation’s Springdale Road campus in Cherry Hill, NJ, and the video also incorporates archival photos and newspaper front pages.
