The Jewish Community Foundation Inc. honored the Raymond and Gertrude R. Saltzman Foundation for its philanthropy in the South Jersey Jewish Community by showing a tribute video at its annual dinner in Cherry Hill, NJ, on May 24, 2011.
JCF, the planned giving and endowment arm of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, engaged Lubetkin Global Communications to produce the video tribute to Gertrude (Ruth) Saltzman.
Saltzman’s philanthropic bequest began the foundation with $25 million, which has grown fourfold to more than $100 million since the Saltzman Foundation’s inception.
The foundation has been the principal funder for many significant projects in the South Jersey Jewish community, including the Lion’s Gate continuing care retirement community and the Saltzman House senior apartment housing; the Jewish Federation campus; and scholarship funding for the Politz Day School and Kellman Brown Academy, two Jewish day schools.

Outstanding tribute, Steve. Sounds like Mrs. Saltzman was an amazing woman. Thanks for my daily dose of inspiration.
