David Kwechansky of Toronto, a market research consultant, rode New Jersey Transit’s GG-1 #4884 on October 27, 1980 after picking up a painting he had commissioned from famed Pennsylvania Railroad artist Grif Teller, that showed the GG-1 crossing paths with a 4-8-8-4 configuration steam locomotive.
